How Does It Work?

The City Fish Farming RAS SYSTEM is advance system in a package design for ease of use and installation. The combination of oxygen and retention time provides ideal living conditions for BIO MEDIA, Total Suspended Solids and (if so designed) Ammonia.

Our treatment plant takes advantage of the mixing power of fine bubble diffusers design to ensure that there are no “dead spots” in the treatment process. The aerated waste stream then enters bottom sedimentation for solids settling before discharge to downstream processes such as filtration and/or disinfection.

Where it's used

RECIRCULATORY AQUACULTURE SYSTEM (RAS) can be defined as system integrating of waste products with Bio filtration. RAS is composed of two primary parts, the biological unit responsible for the biodegradation of the waste compounds and the Bio media for the physical separation. We have adopted out-of-system ras for its advantage of having single tank process and no human contact operations. The RAS based aquaculture treatment provided by us is configured for air-lift and cross flow operations.

PROTEIN SKIMMER

Protein Skimmer is the best filtration that physically removes organic compounds before they start to decompose and hence decreases the load on the Bio-filter. A protein skimmer is constructed in a tube or tower design and has a collection cup at the top. The skimmer works by injecting Massive number of very fine air bubbles into the tube by the means of using either air stones or high pressure water pump.

DRUM FILTER

Rotating micro screens are an alternative to primary sedimentation and so have been more commonly installed at farms in recent years. These usually comprise a fine mesh screen (often 60200 mm pore size) in the form of a rotating drum or disc through which the wastewater is passed. Particles held back on the mesh are backwashed or scraped, to a waste collection trough. Rotating micro screens are especially suited to applications where blockage is likely, and so are used in fish farms because of the large flow of wastewater which must pass through the screen and the small screen pore size which is required to separate out the solids.

AERATION SYSTEM FOR AQUACULTURE /FISH FARMING:

Aquaculture pond aeration is vital to the vigorous health and vitality of fish. Without enough oxygen, fish become stressed and their growth rate slows. Additionally, the lack of oxygen at the bottom of the pond will allow the build-up of fish waste and other organic nutrients. As this material decays, it leads to the build-up of toxic gases which are harmful to the fish. Paddlewheels and surface aerators do not address these problems or correct them. So we can use diffuser aeration system for better aeration and better result foe best growth of fish and aquaculture.

Complete aquaculture pond aeration with diffuser for fine and micro bubble aeration system of the bottom through the use of an aquaculture recirculating system and toxic gas removal enables oxygen breathing microorganisms and insects to feed on organic sediment and organic waste( just as a snail does in an aquarium.) Once oxygen levels are restored using this aquaculture equipment the entire water column and toxic gases at the bottom are removed. Fish then feed on the insects at the bottom.

OXYGEN CONE:

City Fish Farming oxygen cones are used for mixing oxygen in the water. Their shape makes the saturation efficiency very high up to 95%. Water and oxygen enter at the top of the cone at relatively high speed. The stream of water pushes the oxygen bubbles down until they completely dissolve.

What Is Aquaculture

Aquaculture is the farming of aquatic organisms for profit. The farming of fish is the most common form of aquaculture. It involves raising fish commercially in tanks, ponds, or ocean enclosures, usually for food. Aquaculture is practiced by both some of the poorest farmers in developing countries and by multinational companies.

Extensive Systems

The fish are being grown in open, earthen ponds or reservoirs. This is the most obsolete growing method, yet very common, especially in developing countries. The limitations for increasing fish production (growing more fish per water cube) are toxic ammonia accumulation (from fish discharge) and luck of oxygen.

Intensive Systems

Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS)

Fish are grown in indoor systems that allow the farmers to control environmental conditions year round with high density. The system's water is filtered and recycled into the pond.

PVC REINFORCED TANKS

There has been a significant shift towards round tanks for fish rearing. Properly designed round tanks with a central drain, moderately sloped floor and proper inlet piping uses gravitational and centrifugal forces to keep them clean. The water moving in a circular flow will carry the solids to the central drain from where they can be piped away for separation and re-used or disposed. With a properly designed inlet system, the oxygen rich water will provide just the right current for good muscle tone while distributing new water evenly throughout the tank. This design improves space utilization inside the tank, and allows the production of more pounds of fish per unit of water flow.

STOCKING DENSITY AND GROWTH

Depends on fish you cultivate. Conclusion: - You get a better growth as compared to other traditional earthen digs. Mortality is low and growth is high. Highly recommendable for good Aquaculture.

AERATION SYSTEM

Fine bubble aeration is an efficient way to transfer oxygen to a water body. A compressor on shore pumps air through a hose, which is connected to an underwater aeration unit.   • Consulting for R.A.S. fish farming will be with the company.
  • Charges for transportation of machinery provided by the company will be extra.
  • Installation of the plant will be within 60 to 90 days of placing the order.
  • The selection of the venue of R. A. S plant is very important, so collect all necessary information related to the project from the company.
  • It is necessary to make MOU with the company after the project is finalised.
  • Take a note that all the information of the project is given in numbers.
